A perfectly quiet flight!
At the moment we're staying in Palm Beach, propably one of the most beautiful (and expensive!?) suburban places of sydney with countless amazing beaches (all thanks go to Anke & co, our hosts!). Up to now, Australia has been presenting itself in a quite positive way: in the first 3 days we could already spot some dolphins, whales, lots of sun ( eventhough it's „winter“) as well as huge spiders (ugh!), well, the water is still a bit cold, but totally fine for swimming and surfing :)
Regarding the support of both universities, EASV and UTS, I have to admit Simona and me are disappointed since we didn't get half as much of it as they adjudged. The whole planning process as well as the enrolment itself were totally messed up and we have to do everything on our own. Yeah, and let's not even start talking about the financial support.....That's nothing like enough! (as we suspected...)
However, we'll see how it works out.
Palm beach (with Corey )
On monday & tuesday we checked out countless rooms & accoommodations in the city (LOVE the city by the way!). Hard work, but also interesting! Now we actually have a clue of sydneys' different suburbs. The range of what we saw was huge : fom really messy, cheap & crowded (lots of asian ppl) places to nice, clean and of course more expensive places. The main decision we have to make is weather we wanna live near the UTS or near the beach (that would be Bondi Beach) :) Hehe, I prefer the beach but tickets for bus/train etc. are quiet expensive so we have to consider that (or get a job!).

I'll try to update this blog as often as I can, but since I prefer enjoying my stay here, it could take a while sometimes....so pls don't get mad :)
